On 2nd of July, Latvian partner LIKTA (Latvian Information and Communication Technology association) invited experts in field of adult education form Latvian training centres for the third peer review discussion to evaluate the DCDS online learning platform.
Six digital skills development and training experts from 5 adult education centres and organizations all over Latvia provided their feedback and gave valuable inputs for further platform development. Each of the stakeholders had a chance to test in practice the online assessment and learning platform developed within DCDS project. Experts have tested the DCDS online platform through specially designed scenarios, to understand the functionality, design, relevance and potential future exploitation. All experts agreed on the importance of developed system for target groups’ social and e-inclusion. Experts also suggested some steps for more effective platform appliance, like modular training offers in smaller courses and how to widen self-assessment tool for more successful target group initial assessment. Experts expressed interest to further follow up the development of project and see the final version of platform. They have agreed that there is a potential of the platform as an additional self-learning tool for their existing blended learning courses and as a shared learning material database.
Peer review experts acknowledged potential in the developed learning platform and it’s usage for other target audiences, like for example formal education system and education system employees. The peer review was a valuable insight in opinions of the project stakeholders and training experts in Latvia.
