DCDS Peer Review in Rome
Centro Studi Foligno (CSF) organized the peer review event on the Policy Recommendations in Rome hosted by Fondazione Mondo Digitale. The event was attended by six experts in digital literacy, digital transformation and adult education.
Interesting insights were proposed by the participants who approved the document, although suggesting that the Policy Recommendations should push further the importance of digital skills for the population. In this regard, external experts agree that digital skills acquisition should be considered a fundamental right in the same manner as literacy. In addition, participants claimed unanimously that the Policy paper should stress the fact that e-inclusion policy should not be limited to the funding of projects but it would be way more effective to bring them at the regulatory level, thus ensuring a wide-spread outreach.
The event was also an opportunity to share with the experts the results of the project, and in particular two of them were considered highly relevant: the Piloting Report and the DCDE. Two of the participants expressed their interest in using and exploiting the DCDS platform and they are waiting for the final version to be released. Nello Iacono, expert on the Italian Digital Agenda, is willing to analyze the results of the project and, if possible, to propose to the team of Repubblica Digitale to include them in their project. Repubblica Digitale is promoted by the Team for Digital Transformation of the Prime Minister's Office. The project has the objective of accompanying the digital transformation process with a series of digital inclusion actions aimed at breaking down all forms of digital and cultural divide.
It was highly interesting to discuss the Policy Recommendations in light of the Digital Competences Manifesto recently launched by ALL DIGITAL and the Manifesto produced by Repubblica Digitale.
