The Spanish pilot has successfully concluded
The Spanish DCDS pilot, organized by Fundación Esplai in collaboration with AUPEX, has successfully concluded. During a total of two months, the training reached 31 people who could assess their digital competences and improve them. The trainees were distributed in five different training groups, four of them located in Extremadura, and one in Barcelona. These small training groups provided a very individualized training experience and a close relationship with their trainers.
The Spanish pilot experience targeted unemployed people in order to provide them with more tools and abilities to facilitate their inclusion in the labour market.
Most of the participants stated they had never used an online training platform, and therefore this was a new experience for them. Using the DCDE platform and familiarizing themselves with Moodle helped them find out new online training opportunities and different ways to widen their education.
Since trainers observed that participants were not working from home due to various reasons (they didn’t remember how to do the exercises, lack of time, forgetfulness…), Fundación Esplai and AUPEX decided to let them work in the same classrooms they used for the training in a sort of “open classroom”. This helped the groups become more cohesive, because if a participant had some doubts, their colleagues could help them.
The participants were very satisfied with the training, as it helped them improve their digital skills and organize those they already had. They also stated they would like to go on with the training, as they could only test the Base pathway (the rest were not yet available). As the Spanish pilot focused on unemployed people, participants also increased their opportunities in the labour market.
